Operation and maintenance require only a few minutes per day.
The ID-TEK Auto Calf Feeder can be located in any type of building. Floor drains are not required.
The feeder needs connection only to running water and electricity. Installation of the feeder is as simple as connecting a cold-water hose to the back of the machine and plugging cords into 110 outlets.
Milk powder/water ratio (strength of milk) and the number of feedings per day are easily varied. Example: 16 oz. water, 2 oz. milk replacer, 15 times a day, depending on the desired outcome and size/type of animal you are feeding.
Fill the machine by placing the milk replacer powder into the hopper located at top of the machine. The feeder will hold 25 pounds of powder. Any type of milk powder will work, but it is recommended that you use a high quality milk replacer. The ID-TEK will combine the heated water and powder in the mixing bowl with a high speed mixing blade.
The machine can be cleaned out by merely turning the powder/rinse switch on the front of the machine to “rinse”, allowing warm water to flow through the mixing bowl and tubing, then drained into a pail. Rinsing twice per day is recommended for best performance. It only takes a few minutes a day to rinse out the mixing bowl with warm water and replenish milk powder.
